Til maj/juni 2021 åbner Davit Isaak-biblioteket i Malmö, et bibliotek for forbudte og censurerede bøger fra hele verden. Til at starte med forventer Malmö Stadsarkiv, som har taget initiativet, at biblioteket vil omfatte 1.600 titler.
Biblioteket er naturligvis opkaldt efter forfatteren og journalisten Davit Isaak, som trods svensk statsborgerskab nu har været fængslet uden retssag i Eritrea siden 2001. Svenske myndigheder og organisationer har gennem alle årene ført en intens kampagne for at få Isaak ud af Eritrea.
Svenska PEN og organisationen for fribyer for forfattere, ICORN, er med i initiativet til biblioteket.
